About This Job:
The Assistant Case Coordinator is responsible for providing support to adolescents/young adults participating in a transitional living program that equips youth with the skills and abilities to transition to independent living. This includes teaching and supporting daily living tasks, documenting skills and progress, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and assisting with transportation to various appointments and activities.
  • Provide support to youth by teaching and reinforcing daily living tasks to promote independence.
  • Adhere to documentation requirements, including recording youth’s skills, progress, and any incidents or relevant interactions.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and security at all times, conducting regular checks and maintenance.
  • Conduct room searches and perimeter searches to maintain safety and security.
  • Maintain awareness of each participant’s whereabouts throughout the day to ensure their safety.
  • Transport youth to internships, jobs, vocational/technical classes, and appointments as needed.
  • Conduct pat searches and support routine safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Provide mentorship, positive role modeling, and conflict resolution support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with youth to monitor their well-being and progress.
  • Assist with conflict de-escalation and maintaining a respectful environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all privacy regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
  • Monitor youth behavior and intervene when necessary to promote safety and compliance.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as completing reports, incident documentation, and data entry.

Schedule and Rate of Pay:
  • 40 hours per week:
    • Monday 11am-11pm
    • Thursday 3pm-11pm
    • Friday 3pm-11pm
    • Saturday 9am-9pm
  • Hourly paying position at $22.50 per hour
  • Eligible for time and a half/ overtime

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Minimum 1-year's experience working with at-risk or court-involved adolescents - Required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver’s license - Required
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working with diverse populations or culturally responsive practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues
  • Reliable transportation
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – preferred but not required
  • Lived experience – preferred but not required
