GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SAFE Program Facilitator is responsible for representing the program to the local community. This position acts as a liaison between the program and the parents and develops activities and programs to support established goals for participants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
  • 2-years of experience working with at-risk youth
  • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility
  • Communication Proficiency
  • Collaboration Skills

SCHEDULE & RATE OF PAY:
  • Monday-Friday 2:30pm to 5:00pm (12.5 hours per week)
  • $23.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintains database on attendance and student demographics
  • Maintains daily contact with all program participants
  • Facilitate program curriculum/facilitate job club component
  • Plan and implement lessons for job club component
  • Make sure all participants are in the correct component
  • Coordinate parent meetings and trainings including outreach to parents
  • Help create job shadowing opportunities for participants
  • Organize and recruit speaker’s bureau for job club component
  • Inform parents on absent participants on a daily basis
  • Collect report cards and school schedules
  • Schedule college tours
  • Help organize special celebrations and cultural events
